Bible Study

Just one verse today. Yes, just one verse and this verse is being called by the Jews "Golden Rule". The whole law of God can be put to one sentence: do to others what you'd like them to do to you.

You want other people to respect you, love you and care for you, you respect them, love them and care for them first. What if you have tried your best to respect them, love them and care for them but they do not do the same to you. What if they still want to kill you?

Well, I think may be you need to read the famous book Les Miserables written by the famous French poet Victor Hugo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Hugo) or watch the movie, DVD you can buy in Costco with castings Anne Hethaway Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe. It's about how a policeman chased a man who broke his parole for years but was being moved by the man's love so he decided not to kill the man but to finish his own life to free the man.

What we need to do is to respect, love and care for other people. By doing this, you will experience transformation in you and those you respect, love and care.

This is your new standard after you repent and entering into the Kingdom of God becoming a new Being of living out the Beatitudes and living out your new Doing of giving, praying and fasting.

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

Spiritual Journal

The topic I received from Jesus today is :
New rule: Do to others what you'd like them to do to you

The Golden Rule is our new standard of our new behaviour. It's what we need to live it out and not just know it. Yes, there may be some people who won't change at all after you respect them, love them and care for them. That's OK. There may be a few people who still want to hurt you or even want to wipe you out of the face of this world. That's OK. What I know is that those who kill will eat their own fruit sooner or later.

The important thing is that the new Being, new Doing you become will lead you to have this new standard of life: Do to other what you'd like them to do to you.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to live out the Golden Rule so that we can be transformed by you and to be able to witness transformation of other people who we respect, love and care. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
